Fishing Palacios Texas Piers and Bridges
Daniel Lopez
In this video, we’re back out in Palacios Texas fishing with my father, ready to squeeze in a fishing trip after a morning of cutting grass at my parents’ bay house. Once the work’s done, it’s time to play, so we hit a few roadside and pier spots just to see what we can make happen. Right away, my dad reminds us why he’s the Original. From there it turns into a fun, laid-back competition between us, with lots of missed bites, crossed lines, and joking about who’s really the better fisherman.
Between casts, we talk about life—family, traveling, and how weird it feels being home alone when everyone’s gone. For me, fishing isn’t just about catching fish; it’s therapy and time well spent with the people I care about. Even if the tides or weather aren’t perfect, I’d rather be out here making memories than sitting at home.
We bounce between spots, picking up a few small fish but nothing huge. Still, meeting a local who recognized our channel and getting tips on new areas made the day even better.
At the end of it all, I’m just grateful. Because of the channel, I’ll always be able to look back on days like this—laughing, fishing, and spending quality time with family.

It really is beyond fun getting out and fishing with Eduardo and my dad.
