Louisiana Fishing for the First Time

We made our way down to Louisiana for a few things, but while we were here, we figured we had to sneak in some fishing. We ended up under this massive bridge with the casino skyline behind us — the Golden Nugget Lake Charles in the background made the whole spot feel unreal.

Before hitting the water, we grabbed our Louisiana fishing licenses. Yeah, it costs a little more as non-residents, but honestly, it was worth it just for the experience of fishing somewhere completely different. There’s something exciting about trying new water and seeing what’s out there.

The plan was simple: catch some fish first, then maybe head over to the casino afterward and throw a quick hundred on black if luck was still rolling our way.

Eduardo showed off his high-tech reel like he had unlocked some cheat code for fishing. No finger pressure, no hassle, just smooth casting. We started joking about whether it was cheating or simply “adjusting to new technology.”

That’s the kind of trip it turned into — good laughs, new scenery, fishing under the Louisiana bridges, and casinos in the background. Hard to beat that combination.
