Palacios Texas Pavilion Pier

What started as a quick fishing stop on the way to our friend LarryBoy's baby shower turned into one of the most memorable fishing days of the trip. While driving through Palacios, I spotted a small roadside bridge and suggested checking it out. At first glance, the area looked far too shallow to hold fish, but a few casts later I proved Eduardo wrong by landing a solid 17-inch flounder on a Texas-made lure tipped with Procure scent. The unexpected catch immediately turned a random roadside stop into my new little flounder spot worth remembering.

After exploring a few nearby spots, we stopped for live shrimp and eventually made our way to the new Pavilion Pier in Palacios Texas before attending Larry Boy's baby shower.

Along the way, the trip became about more than fishing. Conversations covered family, business ownership, travel plans, and the simple joy of being able to pull over almost anywhere along the Texas coast and make a few casts. Those moments often become just as memorable as the fish themselves.

The day ended on a high note when Eduardo finally hooked into his first redfish of the trip. It wasn't a giant, but after hearing about my flounder all day, it felt like the perfect way to even the score for him. By the end of the afternoon, the fish, the laughs, and the time spent with friends made the day a complete success.
