Urban Fishing as a Tropical Storm Rolls In

Eduardo and I continued our freshwater fishing journey with an afternoon at Mary Jo Peckham Park in Katy Texas, even with a tropical storm moving into the area. I had just gotten off work, and despite the dark skies and rain, we decided to give the pond a shot. 

Between casts, we talked about our plans for Vast Roam, including our new PO box, upcoming online store, and desire to test more fishing products recommended by viewers. We're still learning freshwater fishing, so any advice from experienced anglers helps us improve.

As the afternoon continued, the weather got much worse. The rain intensified, thunder rolled in, and lightning started getting a little too close for comfort. Somehow, Eduardo still managed to land a couple of catfish while I struggled to get one.

Eventually, the storm won. With heavy rain coming down and lightning nearby, we decided it was time to pack up and make a run back to our vehicles.

We didn't catch any trophy fish, but between the catfish, nonstop jokes, and sprint through the rain, a simple afternoon of urban fishing turned into another memorable Vast Roam adventure.
