Brandon Molina Fishing

In this episode of the podcast, we sat down with two solid local creators I’ve really been wanting to talk to—Brandon Molina “BMF Fishing” and Ismael from fishing tackle brand Saltwater Samurai. Right from the start, it felt less like an interview and more like a group of friends just talking fishing, YouTube, and life. We joked around about Ai logos and social media edits, then quickly got into what really matters—big fish and how these guys keep pulling in sharks and bull reds like it’s nothing.

Hearing their stories was cool because both of them started the same way most of us did—fishing with their dads as kids. Ismael grew up in the Valley fishing the bays, then had to relearn everything when he moved to Houston and started surf fishing. Brandon talked about grinding at spots like Texas City Dike and just putting in time until things clicked. It reminded me that none of this happens overnight.

Speaking with Brandon you get a sense of his energy which is exactly what you experience in his fishing videos.

Ismael Caballero is the founder of the fishing tackle brand Saltwater Samurai and we were happy to have him join and tell us about how he started his business and the decision to partner up with some of the local content creators that use his gear. Look at these monsters he is able to bring in on his heavier duty leaders.

What I liked most was talking about YouTube and the future. We all agreed it’s bigger than just catching fish—it’s about personality, community, and showing who you really are. It honestly motivated me to keep pushing our own channel and think bigger than just fishing videos.
