What’s going on! Do you guys like to hit the water as soon as the cold fronts hit or do you go ahead and let the fish acclimate a day or two before heading back out, TIA

Thanks for joining the forum. My father always spoke about going right when it hits so we would be out there the day it came in or at the latest the day after. I can only remember a handful of times we went when it was really cold because he was pretty old school thinking we would get sick being out in the cold lol.
Now I am more of the idea of lets let it hit and wait a couple of days for the water to settle. You planning on going this weekend? We are trying to finish some work up in hopes of getting out at least one day this weekend maybe Port Lavaca or Seadrift.

I am of the mind if i can go i go lol any day out there fishing is good for me but ive had really good luck in going right after cold front
I was wanting to hit sea drift but unfortunately I have to head out back to work (oilfield) Wednesday night, if I could muster up will power I might to those areas once I get clock out since I’m working in the cuero/gonzales area on night shift!

Yes about an hour drive for you but man this next few days a lot off people may be on the roads tired because of new year so got to be alert.
