Eduardo headed out to Galveston early in the morning hoping to get on some fish and enjoy a good day on the water. The weather was perfect, and after arriving near the rocks, he started experimenting with different setups — a lure rod, a floater rig, and a drop shot rig — trying to maximize my chances in the murky water.
The first stop didn’t go as planned. Fish kept biting his shrimp in half, and after missing a flounder at Texas City Dike, frustration started setting in.
Later that night, Eduardo and Junior decided to hit Seawolf Park for some night fishing. The wind was brutal, but the bite finally turned on. They started catching whiting and catfish while joking around and talking fishing, sports cards, and expensive collectibles. Then came the moment of the trip.
Eduardo hooked into a monster Bull Redfish that started running hard. The fight was intense, junior was scrambling with the net while trying not to lose the fish. After several tense moments, the guys finally landed a massive red drum — easily one of the biggest reds Eduardo has caught. The excitement afterward was unreal.
Even after a rough start, the trip ended with an unforgettable catch and a reminder of why we love fishing on the Texas coast.
