Hello. Been seeing your videos after coming back from a day trip from rockport. While out in rockport it just lite that fisherman in me lol. I haven’t fished in over 10 maybe 15 years. I need a few tips as to what rod and reel combo to use at the coast as well as local lakes. Idk what to buy as a medium or medium heavy rod and reel combo. Any and all tips will be much appreciated

Welcome and great to have you on the forums. I would think a starter spinning reel combo similar to this would be a great start.
It will not break the bank and it is a combo you can use for salt water and fresh water. If you are anywhere near Houston this weekend there is a huge fishing show going on and they have tons and tons of specials.

Man thats awsome that your getting back into fishing …….me personally for inshore fishing i like a medium fast action rod around 7ft with a 2500 or 3000 spinning reel
Man it was great being back at the coast. Wales the Fulton pier just to go and relax. Seeing people fishing and relaxing just made me want to start up again. Found the channel and been hooked ever since. And it’s been not even 2 weeks since I was in rockport and ready to go back. Thanks for the recommendation
Yea man. I’m excited to get back out on the water somewhere. What type of line do you usually use. I’m leaning towards a braid main line with a mono leader.
